SSERC is delighted to announce the publication of its 2026 Annual Report, showcasing another year of achievement, innovation and collaboration in supporting STEM education across Scotland and beyond.

The report highlights the breadth and impact of SSERC's work, from delivering high-quality professional learning for educators and specialist health and safety advice to creating opportunities for learners to develop their STEM skills, confidence and aspirations.

Throughout the year, SSERC has continued to work closely with schools, colleges, universities, industry, government and a wide range of partner organisations. These partnerships remain central to our ability to deliver meaningful and sustainable opportunities that inspire learners, support educators and strengthen connections between education, research and industry.

The report also reflects SSERC's commitment to equity and excellence in STEM education, ensuring that learners and educators across Scotland can benefit from high-quality experiences, resources and support, regardless of their location or circumstances.

Looking to the future, SSERC remains committed to responding to the evolving needs of Scotland's education system, supporting the development of STEM skills and contributing to Scotland's wider ambitions for innovation, economic growth and a highly skilled workforce.

Reflecting on the year, SSERC's Chief Executive said:

"Our Annual Report provides an opportunity to celebrate not only what SSERC has achieved, but also the collective contribution of our staff, partners and the educators and learners we support. The enthusiasm, expertise and commitment demonstrated across our programmes continue to make a real difference.

As we look ahead, our focus remains on building strong partnerships, responding to emerging opportunities and ensuring that SSERC continues to play a significant role in supporting STEM education and skills development across Scotland and beyond."

We extend our sincere thanks to our staff, Board, members, funders and partners for their continued support and commitment throughout the year.
