Membership Levels

We are now offering different levels to access our content. Our "traditional" members in schools and colleges across Scotland will not be affected. For this, standard membership select "Normal" as the option

We have however, enhanced our offerings to allow greater access to both institutions and to individuals elsewhere in the world as well as in Scotland. Details of these can be found here.

However, for complicated reasons our memberships are not available to people in the rest of the UK (England, Wales and Northern Ireland)

We require all users to be pre-approved to access the content on this website. Enter your email address below to request access. NB If you are applying for a Standard membership are not able to apply with an email address from a member organisation (GLOW, LA, School etc) you need to email us (website@sserc.scot). All Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo etc accounts without prior contact will be rejected. Once approved you will receive an email to confirm.

Membership Level Normal

The standard membership for schools and colleges in Scotland

  • Only institutions can sign up.
  • All employees within that institution have access.
  • Membership allows unlimited access to all areas of the website as well as to our specialist advisors.
  • This includes free consultation and visits where required.
  • Members will also get discounted (and preferential) access to relevant SSERC Professional Learning.

A sort of semi-corporate membership for smaller organisations like 3rd sector charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations.

  • Accessible to smaller organisations.
  • All employees within that institution have access.
  • Membership allows unlimited access to all areas of the website as well as to our specialist advisors.

Membership Level Corporate

For companies. As well as access to the website and advisors, they get a section on the website.

  • All employees within that institution have access.
  • Membership allows unlimited access to all areas of the website as well as to our specialist advisors.
  • Companies also get their own section on the SSERC website.

Membership Level International

For international schools and colleges.

  • Only institutions can sign up.
  • All employees within that institution have access.

For users providing home education.

  • We will be creating a section of the website with resources to assist the teaching of STEM subjects at home.

Individual memberships are aimed at individual teachers outwith the UK. The pricing varies with geography, being lower for less wealthy countries.

  • 50% discount on our Processional Learning courses.
