SSERC Invests in a Greener Future with 60 New Solar Panels

SSERC has taken another significant step towards a more sustainable future with the installation of 60 solar photovoltaic (PV) panels on the roof of its Ada Lovelace Building at its headquarters in Dunfermline.

The new solar array represents an important investment in renewable energy and demonstrates SSERC's commitment to environmental responsibility and supporting Scotland's journey towards achieving its ambitious net zero targets.

By generating clean electricity on-site, the installation will significantly reduce the organisation's carbon footprint, lower its reliance on grid electricity and improve the long-term sustainability of its operations. The project reflects SSERC's belief that organisations have a responsibility not only to educate about sustainability but also to lead by example.

The Ada Lovelace Building, one of three buildings on the SSERC campus named after pioneering women in science and technology, now harnesses the power of the sun to support the organisation's day-to-day activities while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
