This course aims to support teachers in delivering senior-phase Chemistry assignments. It includes sessions aligned to the N5 and Higher course specifications.
The focus is on familiarising delegates with a range of different practicals, all of which have a number of potential variable that can be investigated, meaning that several candidates can carry out variations on the same experiment, using the same method. This makes the organisation more straightforward.
In addition, the experiments are all straightforward and use inexpensive, readily available chemicals and equipment.
Many of the practical sessions will also provide ideas that can be utilised at various points throughout BGE and Senior phase courses to enhance curriculum delivery.
