Hi Everyone,
my name is Caroline Butler and I'm the lead science technician for Scottish Borders Council. This is a newly created post, made as a result of a successful, (but long running), business review of school support staff within this region. I've been in post since May and I am really enjoying it so far. I have worked as a science technician for 13 years within Scottish Borders.
I'm currently planning a Physics themed in-service day for SBC technicians in November. Id be happy to hear of any similar events people have run, or ideas that you have.
Thanks.
Hi Caroline,
Welcome to the forum.
Not sure if you know, but SSERC has supplied some equipment to LAs over the last few years, two such items being a Cloud Chamber.
Another was a FLIR thermal camera.
I think these would go down well at your Physics day.
You can find the location of the Borders equipment HERE
