Leidos STEM Challenge

SSERC’s EIP with Leidos Innovations UK is now entering year five for 2025/26, after four very succesful years of partnership. Year four of the Leidos/SSERC STEM Challenge saw us partner with eight schools in Glasgow and the West. Each team of young people picked a STEM Challenge from a selection of Challenges linked to Leidos values and they researched, designed and delivered a solution over a number of months. These included accessible cinemas, sustainable clothing items, all terrain vehicles and STEM board games. The Challenges set for 2025/26 offer even more excitement, including robotics and AI.

With a combination of secondary, primary, and ASN schools participating, the Leidos EIP provides a series of career-based professional learning opportunities for staff and STEM challenges for their learners. Throughout the process, the growing STEM Ambassador team at Leidos support and mentor both staff and pupils.

Each year the EIP celebrates and showcases its achievements at Leidos HQ in The Glasgow Skypark Building.
