Join us at our Dunfermline site for this one-day, hands-on course designed to support geography teachers delivering Environmental Science qualifications.
The programme introduces a range of practical techniques and investigations that can be adapted for use in schools, including those without access to specialist laboratory facilities. Participants will explore activities involving refractometry, hydrometry, photosynthesis and respiration, soil analysis, sustainable materials and biofuels, developing the practical skills and confidence to incorporate engaging experimental work into their teaching.
The course also provides an excellent opportunity to refresh your subject knowledge, explore new approaches to practical teaching and share ideas with fellow geography teachers delivering Environmental Science.
The programme is aligned with the GTCS Standard for Full Registration and the National Model for Professional Learning.
Course attendance fees for delegates have been generously paid by a bursary awarded by Ocean Winds UK.
Delegates will also receive a resource pack containing approximately £400 worth of practical equipment to support the delivery of activities in their own schools.
