The Primary Science Teaching Trust  (PSTT)

PSTT has been at the forefront of science education since its foundation in 1997. Its vision is to see excellent science teaching in every primary classroom in the UK. To achieve this, it works with schools leaders, teachers, partners and other stakeholders to drive excellence.

PSTT provides financial and other support for our early years and primary professional learning programmes, particularly our Inspiring a Sustainable Approach to STEM programme.

Additionally, one of our team members supports the PSTT Fellows network in Scotland.

The  Edina Trust

The Edina Trust is a small educational charity registered in Scotland (SC033562). The origins of the Trust's funds have led to an interest in funding activities which enhance the teaching and learning of primary school science.

The Edina Trust's main charitable purpose is to support primary science education. Its largest scheme, the Science Grant Scheme, offers grants to all state-funded primary schools, maintained nurseries and special schools in designated geographical areas across the UK. It is also home to two in-house science kits: Edina Explorers and Science Close Up, which it provides free of charge to selected early years settings and primary schools.

The Edina Trust has supported SSERC activities since 2014. Currently it provides science equipment grants to primary schools participating in SSERC's Inspiring a Sustainable Approach to STEM programme. It also funds resource boxes for individual primary schools taking part in online SSERC Meets.

In addition, Edina Trust provides grant funding to numerous science centres, primary science in-reach and outreach providers, and science festivals.
