A SSERC Meet is an online professional learning twilight for multiple practitioners and comes at no cost to your setting.  Successful applicants will receive practical resources to support this live professional learning session. You and your colleagues will join us online to take part in a range of activities – including making:
  • homes for invertebrates
  • seed balls to grow pollinator friendly plants
  • a range of bird feeders
You will be able to ask questions and share ideas during the session.

This SSERC Meet is designed for Early Years Practitioners, Primary Teachers. 

Rationale

This professional learning event is part of a range of STEM professional learning available from the Early Years and Primary Team at SSERC. 

You and your colleagues will join us for a twilight session from your own setting as we guide you through the activities remotely online, which are designed to promote knowledge and understanding as well as providing great ideas for practical STEM.  Help and advice can be sought during this live online event.

Location

This is a live, online session on Microsoft Teams. You and your colleagues will join us from your own setting – it is useful for practitioners to take part in the activities together.

A Teams link will be sent in advance to successful applicants, on acceptance of an offer of a place.

 

Cost 

This SSERC Meet comes at no cost to your setting.  All we ask is that you and your colleagues attend on the day and fill in one of our short, online evaluation forms in order that we can refine and improve our professional learning offer.

Outcomes

This SSERC Meet is aimed at Early Years and Primary Practitioners working with learners across Early, First and Second Level. This SSERC Meet will focus on the Planet Earth and Materials Organisers within CfE. We will explore activities which could be used to support SCN 0-01a 1-01a 2-01a, 1-02a 2-02a, 0-03a 1-03a, 0-15a 1-15a and TCH 0-06a 1-06a 2-06a, 0-10a 1-10a 2-10a.
