We are delighted that Paul Beaumont, Director of Professional Learning at SSERC, was the recipient of the 2019 GTCS Convener’s Award.
The award is presented by the Convener of the GTCS Council to an individual who, in the eyes of the GTCS Convener, has shown outstanding commitment to the GTCS Professional Values (Trust, Respect, Integrity, Professional Commitment and Social Justice) through the course of their career. The award was first presented at the 2017 Excellence in Professional Learning Awards.
Alastair MacGregor, Chief Executive Officer at SSERC commented, “the team at SSERC are delighted that Paul has received this award. Since joining SSERC in 2008, Paul has demonstrated his passion for providing high quality professional learning for teachers and technicians in Scotland. His dedicated approach always puts the learner at the centre of all that he does, whether it is teaching, writing, advising or researching. Paul is a multi-talented leader at SSERC, who is greatly respected by all his colleagues and those professionals whom he has had the pleasure to reach via SSERC programmes. Paul is a valued member of the Senior Management Team, bringing high-level academic rigor alongside wisdom in running a professional organisation with a gentle and quiet manner.
