The Online Summer School will include: 

  • Support for various aspects of BGE, N4, N5, Higher and Advanced Higher Physics 
  • Hands-on practical activities using a kit sent to participants 
  • Talks on Relativity, Black Holes and Postgraduate Research 
  • Pedagogical Strategies – Tools for teaching Science 


There will be lectures, talks, practical workshops, discussion sessions and online networking opportunities.  Delegates will receive around £450 of free resources to assist them put lessons learned during the Summer School into practice in their own school.

The cost of the 2-day online event is £290. 


Thanks to support from the ENTHUSE project run by STEM Learning, delegates from state funded schools will be able to reclaim a bursary of £320. 

  • Develop strategies for making the teaching of BGE, N5 and post-16 physics more engaging, inspiring and up to date.
  • Explore new creative approaches to practical work in N5 and post-16 physics, including N5 assignments.
  • Describe and model developments in some key areas of contemporary physics relevant to N5 and post-16 learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other course members to share good practice/new ideas and to further develop activities.
