
Training for Tutor Assessors for the non-formal (Curriculum for Excellence Second, Third and Fourth Levels) version of the Young STEM Leader Programme. The YSLP can be delivered in schools, community groups, youth groups or other relevant settings. To participate in this session, you may be a teacher, youth/ community educator, STEM ambassador or in any other role working with young people from upper primary to lower secondary age. The training takes 2 hours and involves a mixture of trainer-led delivery as well as individual and group tasks. There are a number of pre-session tasks that we ask you to complete (45 minutes) and around 15 minutes of post-session admin tasks.

We will shortly be launching our Standards Guidance resource, a set of documents to support the assessment and verification of Young STEM Leader evidence. There will be one set of Standards Guidance per Young STEM Leader Level and they will be available in Tutor Assessors Resources. This event is for trained Tutor Assessors and will guide Tutor Assessors through examples of evidence for each level. There will also be an opportunity for any questions.

Tutor Assessor Connections is a series of themed webinars to support the delivery of Young STEM Leader in over 600 centres across Scotland. Hear from Tutor Assessors and SSERC staff with ideas, tools and resources to support the YSLP.
In this session, Tutor Assessors will share experiences using the award to support a STEM theme from a primary, secondary and community perspective – followed by a Q&A and discussion activity.
